Founder, Co-Owner & Operator
Zachary Davis
Zachary started working on lawns, landscapes, and farmland in Kentucky at age 13, learning everything from tree clearing and property maintenance to planting, irrigation, hardscapes, and landscape installation for residential and commercial properties.
His career eventually took him from running landscaping crews to leading teams and business operations across technology, healthcare, real estate, and property management industries. Along the way, he earned his MBA and built a career in corporate strategy, transformation, and leadership.
Forge & Field brings those two worlds together: a lifelong love of landscapes and the experience to build and operate a company the right way. For Zachary, it’s a return to his roots—literally—and an opportunity to create lasting results for homeowners and businesses across Chicago and the northwest suburbs.
Founder, Co-Owner & Operator
Kyle Sheller
Kyle grew up in Indiana around farms, family businesses, and construction sites. His dad owned a construction business, and from an early age Kyle worked alongside his father and brothers on jobs large and small, learning masonry, tile work, site work, and the kind of hands-on problem solving that comes with building things from the ground up. With farming also running through his family, hard work and working with his hands were simply part of how he grew up.
After college, Kyle built his career in sales, operations, forecasting, and revenue management, primarily within the technology sector. That experience taught him how to build relationships, manage growth, and turn plans into results.
At Forge & Field, Kyle combines his construction background and operational experience with Zachary’s landscaping and business expertise. The result is a partnership built to create, restore, and improve properties with the same care they would give their own.
